来月、日本から遊びに来る友人と、初めてスパに行ってきます！
スパとホテルの予約も入れて、後は、その日を待つのみ！
お互いスパ初心者なので、どのサービスを受けようか悩んでいて・・・
電話で応対してくれたスパの方に聞いてみたところ、Body Wrapを勧められて、
Seaweed Body Wrapに決定しました！お肌が欲しているミネラルをたくさん吸収したいと思います！
もともと両親がどこかのパーティーで頂いたギフト券を使って行くので、父にスパの予約したことを告げたら・・・

子持ち昆布になるのかなあ、それとも昆布巻き？？？　それともお母さんの作る味噌かなあ？？？

ネトネトなアメーバになるかも、、、、ハハハハハハ　！！！　滑って転んで凸凹になるかも。。。　GOOD　LUCK !!!!!!

私の父親を知ってる人なら、もろ彼の性格が出ていて理解してくれると思いますが・・・。

My confession of the day...
Sometimes I have trouble deciphering what the word verification word even says.
Is it just me?! Am I simply mentally retarded?!
I don't understand why they have to use odd fonts in curvy forms or have distorted backgrounds behind the letters...
I CAN'T READ IT.
How am I suppose to verify what the word is when I can't really read what the letters are?!
Please tell me that I'm not the only one facing this issue...!

uncool herbivore men & human bed-warmers

3連休の間に、Eちゃんのプレゼントを選んできました。

おもちゃ屋さんに久しぶりに行ったら、意外と馬のおもちゃって多いんですね。

でも、さすがにユニコーンのおもちゃの数は少なかったです。

どれにしようか悩んだ末、こちらの白い馬にしました。

しかも、足に針金が入っているので、自由に足を曲げたりできる！

Tataのプレゼント、喜んでくれるかな？

明日渡します。

今週久々に普段より早く出勤した時に、研究所からまだ朝陽が見れました。

でも、写真を撮ったときには、空の色がだいぶ薄れてしまった。

シアトルも毎日こんな感じで晴れてくれたらいいのに～。

私は天候に気分を左右され易い体質で、快晴の日は本当に気分が良くて仕事もすごくはかどります。

その反面、どんよりとした日は、気分までどんより。

だから、シアトルの秋と冬は苦手（20年ぐらい住んでいますが慣れません）。

During my visit with my doctor, we had quite an interesting conversation.

My doctor happened to be Japanese American too, and he was curious about current Japan.

First question from my doctor... "What do you think about  'Herbivore Japanese men' ?".

HAHA! Wasn't expecting that question...!

Apparently, he had heard about this trend in Japanese men on NPR (I did too).

My response to his question: "I totally don't understand why men are becoming more feminine and such weaklings...! They're physically so slim too that they could wear women clothes! That's not right... And I don't understand why Japanese girls like these 'herbivore men'...I don't see any benefit in dating or getting married to a 'herbivore man'...!".

The doctor attributed this trend to the rise of wives. Women are becoming too powerful? Are women becoming scary in the eyes of these non-masculine guys because women have more education and get higher salaries? Carnivore women and herbivore men... I wonder what is going to happen to Japan...

Another topic that the doctor brought up: Massachusetts' new Republican senator Scott Brown announcing to the whole world that his daughter is single. "That is exactly why I keep everything private from my parents", I told him. Oh, parents... please don't humiliate your kids...it's really none of your business...!

My recent conversation with my mother:

Me: Oh geez. My birthday is coming up...!
Mom: Yeah...you're going to be 23!
Me: Ahhhhhhh!
Mom: Really...I got married when I was 24.You've got to hurry up and do something or else no one will want you, and you'll be single forever. And we dont want you here forever.

Thank you, mother...BUT I'M STILL 23.

Lastly, a random, super weird news that I came across...

Holiday Inn is starting human bed-warming services in the UK. WTF.

I do not want to sleep in a hotel bed that some stranger was sleeping in...!

The British are weird.
